(PRESS RELEASE) LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN/ROME, 22-Oct-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Autoservizi Troiani, a prominent Italian bus operator, is expanding its fleet of electric buses by acquiring 110 all-electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro city buses, with deliveries expected to be completed by mid-2026. This significant order from Daimler Buses Italia marks a major step towards the company’s goal of transitioning to fully electric public transport in the eastern suburbs of Rome, where the first ten buses are already in service. With their dark red exterior and white lettering, they are easily recognizable as part of Rome’s municipal fleet. These buses prioritize both passenger comfort and safety, featuring air-conditioning, antiviral particulate filters, and EU-compliant safety systems. The buses can accommodate up to 73 passengers, with designated areas for wheelchair users and parents with strollers, ensuring accessibility for all.
