Atlas Copco’s Geert Follens to Retire at the End of 2024, Search for Successor Begins

(IN BRIEF) Atlas Copco has announced that Geert Follens, Senior Executive Vice President and Business Area President for Vacuum Technique, will retire at the end of 2024. Follens has been with Atlas Copco since 1995 and a key member of Group Management since 2017. The recruitment process for his successor will begin shortly.

(PRESS RELEASE) NACKA, 5-Aug-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Atlas Copco has announced that Geert Follens, Senior Executive Vice President and Business Area President for Vacuum Technique, will retire at the end of 2024. Follens, who has been with the company since 1995, has been a member of Atlas Copco’s Group Management since 2017.

Throughout his career at Atlas Copco, Follens has held various positions in purchasing, supply chain, and general management. His leadership has been pivotal in the establishment and growth of the Vacuum Technique Business Area.
