Antonio Filosa Appointed CEO of Stellantis, Set to Lead the Company Starting June 23, 2025

Filosa, who has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, has held leadership roles in North and South America and has been key in driving Stellantis’ growth. He will replace the current CEO, with an Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting to formally elect him to the Board. Filosa’s appointment marks the beginning of a new phase for Stellantis, with plans to introduce a new leadership team. Executive Chairman John Elkann and Vice Chairman Robert Peugeot expressed full confidence in Filosa’s ability to lead the company through an evolving industry landscape.

(the “Company”) proudly announces the appointment of Antonio Filosa as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following a comprehensive search process conducted by a Special Committee of the Board. The appointment has been unanimously endorsed by the Board of Directors, led by Executive Chairman John Elkann. Filosa, who currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Americas and Chief Quality Officer, will assume the CEO role on June 23, 2025. An Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting will be scheduled soon for Filosa to be formally elected as an executive director of the Company.

The Board’s decision to appoint Antonio Filosa as CEO is based on his impressive 25-year career in the automotive industry, his extensive global experience, his deep understanding of Stellantis, and his exceptional leadership abilities. Filosa’s leadership has been instrumental in Stellantis’ success, particularly in North and South America, where he drove growth for brands like FIAT, Peugeot, Citroën, Ram, and Jeep®. His efforts, including the creation of the Pernambuco plant in Brazil, helped position Stellantis as a leader in South America and propelled Jeep® to become a top brand in Brazil.

Filosa’s recent work as Chief Operating Officer, Americas, has focused on strengthening U.S. operations, reducing dealer inventory, reorganizing leadership, launching new products, and fostering stronger relationships with dealers, unions, and suppliers. John Elkann, Stellantis’ Executive Chairman, expressed his full support for Filosa, highlighting his leadership during a period of unprecedented challenge and his deep knowledge of the Company.

The transition to the CEO role will also bring new leadership changes, with Antonio Filosa set to announce Stellantis’ new leadership team. John Elkann will remain Executive Chairman, continuing his close collaboration with Filosa.

Antonio Filosa joined the Fiat Group in 1999 where he held roles of increasing responsibility, including plant manager of the Betim facility (Brazil) and head of Purchasing for the Latin America region. He also served as the head of Argentina from 2016 and as COO for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ Latin America region from 2018. He was appointed the South America COO for the newly created Stellantis in 2021, became Jeep® brand CEO in 2023 and in October 2024 was named North America COO.
