ANDRITZ to Deliver WetlaceTM Line for Sustainable Flushable Wipes Production to Göliplik Şeremet Tekstil

(IN BRIEF) ANDRITZ has been awarded an order by Göliplik Şeremet Tekstil to supply a complete WetlaceTM line for the production of sustainable, flushable wipes. This new production line, which utilizes advanced technology, will allow Göliplik to enter the nonwovens market with eco-friendly, biodegradable wipes that dissolve quickly in sewage systems. The project, which aligns with Göliplik’s sustainability goals, is expected to start in 2027.

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 28-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — International technology group ANDRITZ has secured an order from Turkish yarn manufacturer Göliplik Şeremet Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. for a state-of-the-art WetlaceTM line designed to produce nonwovens for sustainable, flushable wipes. This major investment highlights Göliplik’s dedication to sustainability and its commitment to expanding its business in the growing nonwovens market.

The new WetlaceTM production line will enable Göliplik to produce high-quality roll goods for flushable wipes made from natural, biodegradable fibers. These wipes offer exceptional tensile strength and quickly dissolve in sewage systems, aligning with the company’s sustainability vision and enhancing its product portfolio.

The neXline Wetlace system, featuring cutting-edge technology, includes stock preparation, an approach flow system, wetlaid forming, hydroentanglement, and drying. This advanced solution will allow Göliplik to meet the rising demand for eco-friendly and sustainable wipes. The start-up of the new production line is scheduled for the first half of 2027.
