(IN BRIEF) ANDRITZ has commissioned a 2,000 tons-per-day OCC processing line and reject treatment system for Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper TBK at its Karawang mill in West Java. The installation includes a FibreFlow Drum Prime pulper, advanced cleaning and sorting stages, and comprehensive reject handling equipment to support efficient fibre recovery and stable operation. The project strengthens the strategic partnership between ANDRITZ and Indah Kiat, enhances recycled fibre capacity for testliner production and supports sustainable, high-efficiency paper manufacturing in Southeast Asia.

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 13-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — ANDRITZ has successfully delivered and commissioned a new OCC (Old Corrugated Containers) processing line and reject treatment system for Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper TBK, a member of Asia Pulp & Paper, at its Karawang mill in West Java, Indonesia.

The start-up marks a key milestone in the long-standing cooperation between the two companies and highlights their shared commitment to advancing sustainable and high-efficiency paper production in Southeast Asia.

Engineered for a production capacity of 2,000 tons per day, the new line converts mixed OCC into premium-quality fibre stock for testliner manufacturing. At the heart of the installation is an ANDRITZ FibreFlow Drum Prime pulper, supported by advanced cleaning and sorting technologies that optimise stock preparation and fibre recovery.

The system also integrates a high-performance reject treatment solution, including reject compaction equipment and a single-shaft shredder. These components ensure reliable dewatering, consistent reject discharge and stable mill operation, while contributing to efficient material utilisation.

With this investment, Indah Kiat strengthens its recycled fibre processing capabilities to meet growing demand in the packaging segment. The installation supports improved operational performance and resource efficiency across the site.
