(IN BRIEF) ANDRITZ has successfully supplied and commissioned a reXline tearing installation at Aitex in Alicante, enhancing the center’s capabilities for textile recycling research and development. The installation will support Aitex’s efforts to process a variety of raw materials, specifically focusing on post-industrial and post-consumer waste. Aitex, Spain’s leading textile research center and the only one accredited to issue OEKO-TEX® certifications, will now be able to expand its services to industries such as geotextiles, automotive, and fashion. This collaboration with ANDRITZ strengthens Aitex’s position at the forefront of textile recycling innovation.

This state-of-the-art equipment enhances Aitex’s capacity to conduct textile recycling trials and significantly broadens its array of innovative recycling solutions.

Aitex is Spain’s leading institution for textile industry research, innovation, and advanced technical services, as well as the country’s sole accredited body for issuing OEKO-TEX® certifications. The addition of the ANDRITZ reXline tearing equipment further reinforces Aitex’s role in supporting a wide range of industries, including geotextiles, agrotextiles, automotive, and fashion sectors.

The reXline tearing line is highly adaptable, capable of processing a diverse range of raw materials. It has been meticulously customized to address Aitex’s specific needs for R&D projects focused on the recycling of both post-industrial and post-consumer textile waste.
