This project marks the first use of Nordex’s N175/6.X turbines in the country, designed specifically for low wind conditions. Scheduled for installation in late 2025 and full commissioning by mid-2026, the turbines will be mounted on 112-meter steel towers. The agreement includes a 25-year premium service contract. (PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 16-Dec-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Alterric, a leading independent renewable energy producer in Central Europe, has commissioned the Nordex Group to supply and install nine N175/6.X wind turbines for its Chalkidiki wind farm in northern Greece. This marks the first time Nordex’s advanced N175/6.X turbines, designed for low wind conditions, will be used in the country. The project also includes a 25-year premium service contract to ensure optimal turbine performance over the long term.

The 56 MW Chalkidiki wind farm, located in the Central Macedonia region near Polygyros, will feature turbines with a capacity of 6.8 MW each. Installation is slated to begin in late 2025, with full commissioning expected by mid-2026. The turbines will be mounted on tubular steel towers with hub heights of 112 meters, tailored to the site’s wind conditions.
