Nordex Group to Supply 19 Cold-Climate Turbines for Wind Farm in Québec

(IN BRIEF) The Nordex Group has secured an order to supply 19 N163/5.X turbines for a wind farm in Québec, Canada. These turbines, designed for cold climates, will be mounted on 125-meter-high steel towers and are scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2026. The turbines will feature the Nordex Advanced Anti-icing System to ensure high power production during colder seasons. The customer and the name of the wind farm have not been disclosed.

(PRESS RELEASE) Hamburg, 13-Nov-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — The Nordex Group has secured a new order in Canada, where it will provide 19 N163/5.X turbines to a wind farm developer and operator in Québec.

The turbines, which will be mounted on 125-meter-high tubular steel towers, are scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2026. Designed specifically for cold climates, these turbines will be equipped with Nordex’s Advanced Anti-icing System for the rotor blades. This feature, along with the cold climate variant, will help mitigate power losses and ensure optimal energy production even during the colder months.

The identity of the customer and the name of the wind farm remain undisclosed.
