(PRESS RELEASE) OSLO, 1-Jul-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — AF Gruppen’s subsidiary Helgesen Tekniske Bygg AS (HTB) has secured a NOK 213 million turnkey contract (excl. VAT) with Øvrehagen 2 AS to expand Fatland Ølen’s production complex in Ølen. The project will add 11,750 m² of gross floor area and 3,200 m² of technical ceiling space, housing state-of-the-art meat processing, packaging, storage, and freezing operations. Energy-saving features include heat-recovery systems and rooftop solar panels. The scope also covers the rerouting of a public road and construction of a dedicated boiler house for a new steam boiler system.

Throughout the pre-contract phase, HTB collaborated closely with Øvrehagen 2 AS and Fatland Ølen to refine the design and ensure seamless integration with existing facilities.

“Having delivered several successful expansions for Fatland Ølen in the past, we’re excited to embark on this next phase together,” says Ronny Laastad, CEO of HTB.

Site work will commence in June 2025, with handover planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
