(PRESS RELEASE) MADRID, 25-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Abertis, the infrastructure group backed by ACS and Mundys, has completed the acquisition of the remaining 48.8% stake in the A63 motorway in France, achieving full ownership of the asset following an agreement with HICL Infrastructure, CVC DIF and NGE Autoroutes. The move follows the company’s earlier acquisition of a 51.2% stake in 2025 and marks the full consolidation of this strategic transport corridor in south-west France, which has a concession extending to 2051.

The transaction strengthens Abertis’ position in one of its core European markets and supports its broader strategy of sustainable growth and cash flow replacement. By securing full control of a high-quality infrastructure asset, the company continues to build a diversified portfolio, with more than 60% of its EBITDA generated across Europe and North America. The acquisition also aligns with Abertis’ approach of combining targeted mergers and acquisitions with selective concession extensions to drive long-term value.

The A63 motorway spans 104 kilometres and has been in operation since 2013. Configured as a dual three-lane toll road, it connects Salles and Saint-Geours-de-Marenne, serving as a vital link between Spain and northern Europe. The route plays a key role in facilitating cross-border freight transport and regional mobility, connecting Bordeaux—a major urban and economic hub—with coastal cities such as Bayonne, Biarritz, Anglet and Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

The motorway has demonstrated strong financial performance, generating revenues of €179 million and EBITDA of €138 million in 2025, supported by consistent traffic volumes and positive growth trends. Its strategic importance and operational resilience make it a central component of Abertis’ European infrastructure network.

Through its subsidiary Abertis France, the group is already a major operator in the French motorway sector, managing approximately 2,000 kilometres of toll roads, including those operated by the Sanef Group. With the full integration of the A63, Abertis further reinforces its leadership position in France and enhances its ability to deliver stable, long-term returns.

The acquisition underscores Abertis’ commitment to investing in essential transport infrastructure that supports economic connectivity and strengthens its standing as a leading motorway operator in Europe.
