(IN BRIEF) PwC, in collaboration with Google Cloud, has expanded its AI agent ecosystem across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, introducing over 100 enterprise-ready agents that increase its global total to more than 250. These agents combine Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI technologies with PwC’s domain knowledge to deliver secure, adaptable, and compliant automation. Designed for large-scale enterprise use, the agents support industries from finance to healthcare and energy. The collaboration with Limbach Gruppe SE demonstrates how AI can streamline processes across multiple sites in compliance with EU regulations. PwC’s trust-by-design approach ensures responsible AI use through embedded privacy, security, and governance controls, enabling clients to scale from pilots to enterprise-wide adoption efficiently and securely.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 15-Jul-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — PwC has unveiled a major expansion of its AI agent network in partnership with Google Cloud, rolling out over 100 new enterprise-grade agents across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This regional launch increases PwC’s global AI agent portfolio to more than 250 and reinforces the firm’s commitment to helping organisations achieve smarter automation, faster decision-making, and consistent governance across industries.

The initiative marks a significant step forward in PwC’s ongoing collaboration with Google Cloud, combining cutting-edge technologies such as Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Google’s Gemini models with PwC’s enterprise expertise. Leveraging the Agent Development Kit (ADK), Agent Engine, and Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol, the expanded ecosystem brings secure, interoperable AI agents that adapt to regional regulations, languages, and sector-specific requirements while maintaining global scalability.

“Across EMEA, our clients are no longer experimenting—they’re scaling,” said Dallas Dolen, Global Google Relationship Leader at PwC US. “With over 100 new agents added to our global network, we are providing reusable and governed workflows that mirror real-world complexities and local compliance frameworks. This means accelerated results, lower costs, and improved experiences across the enterprise.”

Each PwC AI agent, developed with Google Cloud’s infrastructure, merges advanced large language model (LLM) reasoning with domain-specific data and human expertise. Some clients have already reported up to eight times faster process completion and over 30% cost savings through agent-enabled workflows. Using modular micro-agent architectures—typically five to ten agents per workflow—organisations can easily adapt and replicate solutions across business units while maintaining strong oversight and control.

“Gemini Enterprise offers organisations a unified foundation to bring the power of Google AI to every process,” said Victor Morales, Vice President of GSI Partnerships at Google Cloud. “Through our partnership with PwC, we’re helping companies accelerate AI adoption with a strong focus on scalability, governance, and innovation.”

The expanded network supports diverse applications across multiple sectors:

  • Financial Services: automating Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, refining AML monitoring, and aligning model risk documentation
  • Industrial and Manufacturing: managing supply chain disruptions and enabling automated visual quality inspection
  • Energy and Utilities: improving predictive maintenance, grid analytics, and safety monitoring
  • Public Sector: streamlining citizen service workflows and multilingual correspondence
  • Retail and Consumer: enhancing demand planning, fraud risk analysis, and return anomaly detection
  • Telecommunications: facilitating intent routing, eligibility verification, and complaint management
  • Healthcare and Life Sciences: assisting with clinical documentation, claims validation, and coding support

A standout example comes from PwC’s collaboration with Limbach Gruppe SE, one of the largest AI agent deployments in Europe’s healthcare sector. The initiative spans 34 sites across Germany and focuses on administrative, procurement, and scientific functions. “We’re embedding AI agents across our network to optimise administrative workflows and support our clinicians and researchers from day one,” said Dr. med. Patricia Geller, Management Board, Limbach Gruppe SE. “Partnering with PwC ensures we meet the highest standards of data governance while aligning with the EU AI Act.”

Trust and responsibility remain at the core of PwC’s AI strategy. Its trust-by-design approach includes privacy safeguards, access controls, explainability, and detailed audit trails. PwC’s proprietary Agent OS seamlessly integrates with Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI, allowing organisations to unify workflows, enforce governance, and manage AI systems at scale.

“With hundreds of agents now deployed globally, our clients can progress from initial adoption to measurable business outcomes quickly and confidently,” added Dolen. “Governance, compliance, and trust are embedded from the start, ensuring AI operates safely and effectively across every region.”
