(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 25-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Aviva plc (LON: AV), a British multinational insurance company, is proud to announce that three of its leaders—Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer, Suzie Nolan, Head of Property at Aviva Ireland, and Anna Dilku, Senior Creative Content Manager—have been recognized in the prestigious 2024 HERoes Role Model Lists. Suzie and Anna have been acknowledged as Future Leaders, while Danny Harmer has earned a spot on the Women Executives list for the sixth consecutive year.

The HERoes Women Role Model Lists celebrate global business leaders who are advancing gender diversity and creating more inclusive workplaces. Honorees have achieved remarkable success in their careers while also driving meaningful change in gender representation and workplace equality.

About the Recognized Leaders

  • Suzie Nolan, Head of Property at Aviva Ireland
Suzie founded the Balance Committee at Aviva Ireland four years ago and remains an active member, spearheading initiatives within the company. She also plays a key role in the Irish chapter of the 30% Club, serving as Chair of the Financial Services Group. Suzie frequently participates in industry discussions on diversity and speaks at Next Gen events, where she encourages young people to challenge gender stereotypes when selecting careers and courses of study.
  • Anna Dilku, Senior Creative Content Manager
Over her 19-year tenure at Aviva, Anna has been a driving force for diversity and inclusion. She was the first elected co-chair of Aviva Balance, an employee resource group focused on gender equality. Her leadership extended to promoting intersectionality within Aviva Origins, a group celebrating cultural diversity, which won the Inclusive Companies’ Outstanding Employee Network Award.
  • Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer
Danny plays a vital role in shaping Aviva’s inclusivity efforts as Co-Executive Sponsor of the Pride Community, co-chair of the One Aviva Inclusion Council, and Co-Executive Sponsor of the Domestic Abuse Working Group. Her work extends to addressing key issues such as the gender pay gap, menopause, and the long-term effects of hybrid working on women. Additionally, she mentors women across the industry.

Danny Harmer’s Statement
“I’m thrilled to see Suzie and Anna being recognized for their invaluable contributions to Aviva’s inclusive culture, as well as their influence across the wider industry. It’s an honor to be listed alongside them and so many other incredible women and advocates,” said Danny Harmer.

Earlier this year, four Aviva colleagues were also featured in the INvolve Empower Role Model Lists, which recognize individuals making significant strides in workplace inclusion. Waseem Malik, Chief Claims Officer, and Michael Yabantu, MD of Mid-Market Commercial Lines, were both listed as Executives, while Anna Dilku and Maiko Adachi, Senior Counsel, were included in the Future Leaders category.
