(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 28-Sep-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Aviva plc (LON: AV), a British multinational insurance company, is delighted to announce that Suzie Nolan, Head of Property at Aviva Ireland, and Danny Harmer, our Chief People Officer, have once again earned well-deserved spots on this year’s HERoes Role Model Lists.

For the second consecutive year, Suzie has been recognized as a Future Leader, while Danny has earned her place on the Women Executives list for an impressive fifth year in a row.

Suzie Nolan is an integral part of Aviva Ireland’s (Gender) Balance network, where she serves as Co-chair, and she also plays a pivotal role on the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. Suzie’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) extends to her support for initiatives such as ‘Free to Be Me’ Children’s Libraries.

As a prominent figure in the industry, Suzie frequently speaks at various events, advocating for gender balance and leveraging her role as a property fund manager to provide rent-free or reduced rent access to commercial properties for the benefit of minority groups in Ireland, including registered charities like ‘Dublin Pride’ and Neurodiversity Ireland.

Suzie is actively engaged in Aviva’s ‘Women Tackle Finance’ campaign, where female experts share their financial and investment knowledge in a way that resonates with women. She also serves as a Council member of the 30% Club and has recently assumed the role of Chair of the Financial Services Committee, collaborating with senior leaders across Ireland to drive collective change and accelerate gender equality.

Danny Harmer, on the other hand, serves as the Co-Executive Sponsor of our Pride Community, co-chair of the One Aviva Inclusion Council, and Co-Executive Sponsor of our Domestic Abuse Working Group. In 2020, this group introduced training to support both customers and colleagues.

In addition to her leadership roles, Danny mentors several women, contributes articles, and speaks at events on critical issues such as allyship, menopause, and caregiving.

The HERoes Women Role Model Lists are a global showcase of leaders across various sectors and industries who champion women in business and actively advocate for gender diversity in workplaces worldwide.

Individuals featured on the HERoes Role Model Lists not only excel in their careers but also work tirelessly to create more inclusive and diverse work environments.

At Aviva, we firmly believe that everyone should have the freedom to be themselves. To learn more about our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, please explore our approach on our website.
