Wincor Nixdorf to demonstrate new mobile applications for stationary retail chain stores at Wincor World 2014

Paderborn, Germany, 15-1-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — There’s a particular highlight waiting for visitors to Wincor World 2014: in the lifelike environment of an s.Oliver store, Wincor Nixdorf will be demonstrating the possibilities of new mobile applications for stationary retail chain stores.

The focus of the presentation is an innovative iPad tablet solution based on Wincor Nixdorf’s TP.net software. It can be used to look after, advise and inform customers intensively at the POS by allowing them to call up additional product information on the tablet.

Also installed in the shop is a polytouch terminal. Customers can use it to surf in s.Oliver’s e-shop, find information on offers, and query article availability without needing help from store staff. In addition, articles that are not available in the store can be ordered directly in the web shop, with the choice of home delivery or pickup at the store.

Visitors to Wincor World 2014 at the A2-Forum in Rheda-Wiedenbrück from January 21 – 23 can discover how these and other new solutions are helping retail businesses develop in the direction of omnichannel retailing.
