(IN BRIEF) The Webuild Group’s U.S. subsidiary, Lane, has finalized the I-275 Section 7 Phase 1 project in Florida, an initiative designed to meet the escalating traffic demands in the Tampa Bay region. The project involved broadening highway lanes and integrating advanced signalling and lighting systems to significantly boost road safety and visibility. With the addition of eco-sustainable designs and innovative materials, together with backup systems for critical monitoring cameras, the project ensures continuous functionality even in adverse weather conditions. Lane is also engaged in several concurrent projects in Florida, such as upgrades at the Westshore Interchange and road enhancements in Seminole and Orange Counties, aimed at optimizing some of the area’s busiest road junctions and improving emergency lanes. In parallel, Webuild Group is actively modernizing road infrastructure nationwide with projects across Virginia, North Carolina, Washington, D.C., and South Carolina. (PRESS RELEASE) MILAN, 10-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to renewing the U.S. infrastructure network, Lane, operating under Webuild’s U.S. subsidiary, has successfully completed the I-275 Section 7 Phase 1 project in Florida. This essential work on Interstate 275 in the Tampa Bay area involved widening highway lanes and installing state-of-the-art signalling and lighting systems to enhance visibility and safety from the I-4 interchange to north of Hillsborough Avenue. The project also integrated eco-sustainable design principles and innovative materials, along with backup generators for monitoring cameras to guarantee uninterrupted operation in extreme weather conditions.

Lane continues to play a key role in revitalizing Florida’s road network. Alongside the finished project on I-275, Lane is undertaking several other initiatives in the region. These include upgrades at the Westshore Interchange, intended to strengthen one of the area’s busiest junctions and bolster emergency lane functionality during severe weather, as well as additional improvement projects in Seminole County and enhancements within Orange County.
