(PRESS RELEASE) MILAN, 18-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Webuild and Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen their collaboration and jointly pursue major infrastructure opportunities across global markets. The agreement marks a new phase in their partnership, focusing on combining their respective strengths to deliver complex, high-value projects in sectors such as ports, airports, defence infrastructure, and green energy.

The collaboration is designed to leverage the complementary capabilities of both companies, bringing together Webuild’s long-standing expertise in large-scale engineering and project execution with Hyundai E&C’s extensive international footprint and diversified construction portfolio. By aligning their technical and operational know-how, the two groups aim to strengthen their competitiveness in specialised infrastructure segments where advanced technology and execution capabilities are critical.

The agreement also outlines the potential creation of project-specific joint ventures, enabling the partners to offer integrated solutions under a variety of contractual models, including Public-Private Partnerships, Engineering Procurement Construction, and Design & Build frameworks. This approach is intended to enhance efficiency, optimise resource allocation, and meet the increasingly complex demands of major international clients.

The partnership is expected to focus particularly on high-growth regions such as Asia-Pacific and North America, where demand for resilient, technologically advanced infrastructure is rising. By working together, both companies aim to expand their global presence and capture opportunities in markets characterised by strong infrastructure investment.

Webuild, which generated €13.6 billion in revenue in 2025 and employs around 95,000 people, brings to the partnership more than a century of engineering experience and a strong track record in delivering large-scale projects worldwide.
