This acquisition marks a significant step in strengthening VINCI Energies’ Axians brand, which is focused on advancing its capabilities in the fast-growing fields of cybersecurity, IT services, and cloud solutions.

Fernao Group, with over 35 years of expertise, is recognized for its comprehensive IT security services, including risk identification, data protection, and the implementation of critical infrastructure safeguards in line with European Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2) requirements in Germany. Additionally, the group offers robust managed services in IT infrastructure, networking, and data center management.

Headquartered in Cologne, Fernao operates across 26 locations in Germany and Switzerland, serving a diverse customer base in industries such as telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, and the public sector.

The acquisition will bolster Axians’ presence in these key markets, enabling VINCI Energies to enhance its digital transformation offerings. In 2023, Axians generated €3.6 billion in revenue across 38 countries, while VINCI Energies as a whole achieved a total revenue of €19.3 billion, with over €4 billion coming from operations in Germany and Switzerland.

This acquisition is pending approval from competition authorities and is expected to solidify VINCI Energies’ position as a leader in cybersecurity and digital transformation in Europe.
