Unique 5G Core use cases by KDDI and Ericsson at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai, 26 – 28, June, 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 24-Jun-2019 — /EuropaWire/ — Japanese telecommunications company KDDI and Ericsson will demonstrate 5G core network use cases at Mobile World Congress Shanghai between June 26 and 28, 2019.

Zero-touch authentication via a 5G API will be one of the use cases that will be highlighted at the congress in China. It resolves traditional, complex service-authentication and authorization procedures and provides end-users with a seamless and secure service experience.

The 2nd 5G core network use case will offer industrial users with a fast, flexible and automatic network platform and service that will rely on Container-based Dynamic Slice Orchestration prototypes. The prototypes combine several key 5G Core network features into one integrated solution.

Commenting on the 5G core network use cases, Yasuo Ohkouchi, Administrative Officer, General Manager of Mobile Network Technical Development Division of KDDI said:

Ericsson has recently published information on 5G Core network programmability that looks into how service providers can use their network as a platform for enabling innovative industrial use cases.

Ericsson will be in Hall N3 at SNIEC during the Mobile World Congress Shanghai from June 26 to 28, 2019. The company will showcase unique insights on 5G business opportunities and use cases that enhance service providers’ business and customer experiences.
