UBS Announces Nominations of Renata Jungo Brüngger and Lila Tretikov for Board of Directors at 2025 AGM

(IN BRIEF) UBS Group AG has nominated Renata Jungo Brüngger and Lila Tretikov for election to its Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting on 10 April 2025. Jungo Brüngger brings expertise in governance, sustainability, and legal affairs from her role at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, while Tretikov’s background in artificial intelligence and technology leadership comes from her experience at New Enterprise Associates, Microsoft, and Engie. The announcement also noted the departure of Claudia Böckstiegel and Nathalie Rachou from the Board, with gratitude for their contributions. Renata Jungo Brüngger, a distinguished professional in legal affairs, governance, and sustainability, currently serves on the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, where she oversees Integrity, Governance, and Sustainability. With a law degree, an LL.M. in international commercial law, and over 30 years of experience, she also holds positions on the supervisory boards of Munich Re and Daimler Truck Holding AG.

Lila Tretikov, an expert in artificial intelligence and technology-driven business transformation, currently leads AI strategy at New Enterprise Associates. She has previously served as Deputy Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft and Senior Vice President at Engie, and is a renowned software engineer and University of California, Berkeley alumna.

Colm Kelleher, Chairman of the Board, expressed his enthusiasm for the nominations, highlighting Jungo Brüngger’s expertise in governance and sustainability, and Tretikov’s deep knowledge in AI and cybersecurity as crucial for enhancing UBS’s strategic direction and technological competence.

At the same time, Claudia Böckstiegel and Nathalie Rachou will not seek re-election. Böckstiegel, a Board member since 2021, will focus on her role at Roche, while Rachou, a Board member since 2020, steps down for personal reasons. The Board expressed gratitude for their contributions.
