Symrise Appoints Walter Ribeiro to Executive Board as Leadership Transitions Unfold

Ribeiro, a long-time Symrise executive, has been instrumental in the company’s growth in the nutrition sector. Meanwhile, Dr. Jörn Andreas will leave Symrise at the end of September to pursue other opportunities. CEO Dr. Jean-Yves Parisot will temporarily manage the Scent & Care segment until a successor for Andreas is found. (PRESS RELEASE) HOLZMINDEN, 13-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Symrise AG has announced changes to its Executive Board as the company continues its global leadership in the fragrance and nutrition sectors. Walter Ribeiro has been appointed to the Executive Board, assuming responsibility for the Taste, Nutrition & Health (TN&H) segment effective September 15, 2024. Ribeiro, who has been with Symrise for nearly his entire career, was previously in charge of the global Food & Beverage division and has played a key role in the company’s growth within the nutrition space.

In a parallel move, Dr. Jörn Andreas will leave Symrise at the end of September 2024 to pursue other career opportunities. Dr. Andreas, who was instrumental in steering the Scent & Care (S&C) segment, will be succeeded on an interim basis by CEO Dr. Jean-Yves Parisot until a permanent replacement is found.

Michael König, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, praised both leaders, emphasizing Ribeiro’s critical contributions to Symrise’s transformation and Andreas’ role in the realignment of the S&C segment. The reorganization is part of Symrise’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its global leadership in both nutrition and scent solutions while ensuring continuity in management during the leadership transition.

The search for a new head of the S&C segment is underway, with a focus on continuing the strong trajectory established by Dr. Andreas.
