(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 9-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska has announced an investment of CZK 917 million, equivalent to approximately SEK 400 million, in the final phase of the Albatros Kbely residential development in Prague, Czech Republic. The last stage of the project will deliver 178 low-energy apartments and complete the creation of a new urban district designed with extensive green areas and community services.

The Albatros Kbely development is being constructed in five phases and will ultimately comprise around 688 residential units. With the launch of the final phase, the project will reach completion, forming a fully developed neighborhood with housing, public spaces, and local amenities integrated into the surrounding area.

A key feature of the development is the focus on green and accessible urban spaces. The district will include more than 15,000 square meters of landscaped areas and parks, designed to provide residents with opportunities for outdoor recreation and relaxation. Alongside the residential buildings, the neighborhood will include a supermarket, a kindergarten, and a variety of play areas and leisure facilities intended to serve residents of different age groups.

The project has been designed with an emphasis on sustainable and resource-efficient living. The apartments incorporate energy-efficient and water-saving solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact while maintaining comfortable living standards for residents.

In addition, the construction approach includes the use of prefabricated bathroom units in most apartments, helping streamline the building process and improve construction efficiency.

The development is being designed in accordance with BREEAM certification standards, reflecting Skanska’s focus on sustainable construction practices and environmentally responsible urban development.

Construction of the final phase is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with completion expected in early 2028. Once finished, Albatros Kbely will represent a new residential district in Prague combining housing, green infrastructure, and community amenities within a single integrated development.
