(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 29-Nov-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska is set to invest approximately SEK 530 million in the development of Mandelblomman, a residential project located in Täby Park, just outside Stockholm. The project encompasses 156 apartments, 75 parking spaces in a garage, and two commercial premises. The construction contract, valued at around SEK 350 million, will be included in Skanska Sweden’s order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2024.

The residential complex will range from four to seven stories and feature apartments of varying sizes, from one to five rooms with kitchens. A rooftop terrace and a lush courtyard with a pergola will provide outdoor spaces for residents. Sustainability is a key focus of the project, with the roof equipped with solar panels covering approximately 55% of its surface. The garage will include 15 electric car charging spaces, alongside a car and bicycle pool for the condominium association.

Constructed using climate-improved concrete, the building will consume 15% less energy than required by Sweden’s Boverket building regulations (BBR). Consistent with Skanska’s standards for residential projects in Sweden, Mandelblomman will be certified under the Nordic Ecolabel, underscoring its commitment to environmentally friendly practices.

A unique feature of Mandelblomman is the incorporation of a battery storage system, which will serve as a support service for Svenska kraftnät, generating income for the condominium association.

Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2024, with phased occupancy expected to commence in summer 2026 and conclude by April 2027.
