SEB Retains Nordic Leadership in Sustainability Advisory with Top Rankings Across Key Markets

(IN BRIEF) SEB has maintained its leading position in sustainability advisory and research across the Nordic region, according to Kantar Sifo’s Prospera survey. The bank ranked first in Sweden, Finland and Denmark and achieved a clear overall lead based on feedback from more than 2,000 large corporates and financial institutions. The recognition marks the sixth consecutive top ranking in Sweden and Finland and a return to first place in Denmark, highlighting SEB’s continued influence in helping clients address sustainability challenges amid an increasingly competitive and complex economic environment.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 17-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — SEB has once again been recognised as the top provider of sustainability advisory and research services in the Nordic region, according to the latest Prospera survey conducted by Kantar Sifo.

The bank secured the highest ranking in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, performing strongly among both large corporates and institutional investors. SEB achieved an overall score of 1,155 points, significantly ahead of competing institutions, which recorded 935 and 858 points respectively.

The results are based on 32 separate Prospera surveys and more than 2,000 telephone interviews with major Nordic companies and financial institutions. Respondents evaluated banks on the quality, relevance and effectiveness of their sustainability advisory and research capabilities, reflecting growing demand for expertise in environmental, social and governance-related matters.

SEB’s performance in individual markets underscored its continued regional strength. The bank retained the top position in Sweden and Finland for the sixth consecutive year and reclaimed first place in Denmark, while ranking third in Norway. The findings come amid a more competitive landscape shaped by macroeconomic uncertainty and heightened expectations for sustainability guidance.

The bank indicated that it intends to build on this momentum by deepening collaboration across its organisation to further support clients navigating the transition to more sustainable business models and financial strategies.
