Samantha Alexander Appointed as DWS UK Country Officer, Enhancing Leadership Team

(IN BRIEF) DWS has appointed Samantha Alexander as Country Officer for the UK, in addition to her role as Chief Operating Officer. Samantha will join the EMEA Leadership Council and oversee UK operations, contributing to DWS’s corporate strategy and managing regulatory and industry relationships. A longstanding DWS employee and advocate for DE&I, Samantha brings extensive experience to her expanded role.

(PRESS RELEASE) FRANKFURT, 23-Jul-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — DWS has announced the appointment of Samantha Alexander as Country Officer for the UK, expanding her responsibilities beyond her current role as Chief Operating Officer for the UK. Effective immediately, Samantha will also join DWS’s EMEA Leadership Council.

Background and Experience

Samantha Alexander has been with DWS and Deutsche Bank since 2011. She initially joined as a Programme Manager in the Business Solutions Group and later held a leadership role in Change Management within Client & Data Services. She subsequently became the Programme Manager for the Global Client Group at DWS, overseeing operational management of the sales teams in EMEA (excluding Germany). Most recently, she has served as the Chief Operating Officer for the UK, managing the operating environment of the UK business. Prior to her tenure at Deutsche Bank and DWS, Samantha held various operational roles at international banks.

New Responsibilities

In her new role as UK Country Officer, Samantha will oversee the UK operations and contribute to DWS’s overall corporate strategy. Her responsibilities will include managing governance, interacting with regulators, and maintaining relationships with key industry associations.
