Prosus Unveils AI Platforms Agents and Life Assistants to Connect One Billion Customers Across Global Marketplace

(IN BRIEF) Prosus hosted its first global technology showcase, Prosus Forward, to present a strategic vision for the future of ecommerce built around AI agents and intelligent digital assistants. The event demonstrated how the company plans to connect its ecosystem of businesses across Latin America, Europe and India through AI technologies that enable hyper-personalized experiences and automated business operations. Central to this strategy is Prosus’s Large Commerce Model, an AI system trained on billions of real commerce interactions that helps interpret customer intent and improve platform performance. The model is already being deployed across companies such as iFood, Just Eat Takeaway, OLX and eMAG, delivering improvements in conversion rates and marketing efficiency. Prosus also introduced Toqan, an internal agent platform used by more than 25,000 employees, as well as AI tools that support merchants and partners across its platforms. The event further showcased a growing portfolio of AI life assistants, including Ailo, Sofia and Zapia, and previewed Flume, an autonomous assistant designed to connect personal data across applications. Together, these technologies illustrate Prosus’s broader strategy to build an AI-driven marketplace ecosystem serving more than one billion customers and five million partners worldwide.

(PRESS RELEASE) AMSTERDAM, 13-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Prosus hosted Prosus Forward, its first global technology showcase, presenting a comprehensive vision for the next phase of digital commerce driven by artificial intelligence. The event highlighted how the company is deploying AI-first technologies across its global portfolio and described a future in which AI agents and digital assistants power a new generation of ecommerce experiences.

During the showcase, Prosus outlined how it is connecting companies within its ecosystem across Latin America, Europe and India using AI agents and intelligent life assistants. The strategy aims to build what the company describes as an “agentic marketplace economy,” where AI systems actively help businesses and consumers complete tasks, rather than simply connecting services.

The event featured demonstrations of several proprietary AI innovations developed by Prosus, including its Large Commerce Model (LCM) as well as AI tools designed for employees, partners and consumers. Together, these technologies are intended to deliver hyper-personalized digital experiences and unlock new opportunities for the millions of partners operating within the Prosus ecosystem.

Fabricio Bloisi opened the event by describing the company’s ambition to create a global lifestyle ecosystem serving more than one billion customers and five million partners, generating approximately $65 billion in gross merchandise value across key markets. He explained that while loyalty programs historically linked the company’s services together, the future ecosystem will be built around intelligent assistants capable of completing tasks and AI agents capable of supporting business operations.

A central feature of the event was the introduction of the Large Commerce Model, an AI system designed to power applications and digital agents across Prosus companies. Unlike traditional large language models that rely primarily on text-based training data, the LCM is trained on billions of real-world commerce interactions, including purchases, searches, clicks and repeat orders. By learning directly from these interactions, the model can better interpret customer intent and deliver personalized experiences.

The LCM is already being used in more than 40 operational use cases at iFood, where it has helped improve conversion and marketing efficiency. According to the company, the technology has driven a 19 percent increase in homepage conversions, reduced advertising conversion costs by 51 percent, and improved notification engagement by 75 percent. Early deployments at other Prosus portfolio companies such as Just Eat Takeaway, OLX and eMAG have also produced encouraging results as the model begins to expand across the group.

Prosus also demonstrated Toqan, an internal AI platform designed to support employees. The system is currently used by more than 25,000 staff members across 22 companies within the Prosus network. Around 5,000 AI agents operate on the platform daily, helping employees perform tasks across operations, human resources, legal, marketing and sales. The company reported that Toqan currently handles 747,000 automated actions each month, delivering productivity gains comparable to more than 1,000 full-time employees.

Beyond internal operations, Prosus is extending its agent technology to the businesses that operate on its platforms. These partner-focused AI agents assist merchants and service providers with onboarding, operations and growth. At iFood, for example, agents now assist in onboarding approximately 80 percent of partners, with 12.5 percent onboarded entirely through automated agents. In another example, a conversational AI assistant introduced on OLX’s Polish automotive marketplace Otomoto helps car dealers navigate the platform’s data tools and accelerate sales processes.

The showcase concluded with demonstrations of more than 20 life assistants developed across Prosus markets. These AI tools are designed to simplify everyday tasks for consumers by providing conversational support and proactive recommendations. Examples include Ailo, an assistant integrated into iFood that already serves nearly one million users, and Sofia, the travel assistant used by Despegar, which contributes around three percent of the company’s sales in Latin America. Another tool, Zapia, operates as a broader ecosystem assistant with approximately six million users across the region.

Prosus also previewed Flume, an autonomous AI assistant developed by Prosus AI Labs. The system operates continuously in the background, connecting data across apps and services to proactively address tasks and potential issues before users need to act. Flume is currently being tested internally at Prosus and is scheduled to become available to selected users in Europe starting in April 2026.

Presentations and demonstrations from the Prosus Forward event have been made available online through the company’s website.
