Martinazzoli will oversee the arena’s operational management and development, positioning it as Italy’s premier cultural and entertainment venue. With extensive leadership experience, including roles at Milano & Partners, Nike, and New Guards Group, Martinazzoli aims to bring a world-class experience to Milan. The venue will initially host ice hockey events during the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, followed by concerts and major events, setting new standards for live entertainment and sports.

(PRESS RELEASE) MILAN/HAMBURG, 14-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — CTS EVENTIM has appointed Luca Martinazzoli as the new Managing Director of Arena Milano, effective January 1, 2025. Martinazzoli will oversee the operational management and business development of the venue, positioning it as the leading destination for cultural and entertainment events in Italy. A key focus of his role will be to assemble a strong team to ensure the arena’s long-term success. He will report directly to Klaus-Peter Schulenberg, the CEO of CTS EVENTIM.

Arena Milano, located in the heart of Milan, a city known for its vibrant cultural and economic scene, is slated for completion by the end of 2025. The venue will initially host ice hockey events during the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, with concerts and other major events beginning in the spring of the same year. Designed to meet the highest international standards for both live entertainment and sports, the arena is set to offer a groundbreaking experience for both performers and audiences.

With a wealth of experience across high-profile organizations, Martinazzoli brings a strategic leadership background to the role. He previously served as General Manager at Milano & Partners, the Municipality of Milan’s destination agency, where he helped raise the city’s global profile as a hub for tourism, events, and innovation. Before that, he headed the City Marketing department for the Municipality of Milan. Martinazzoli’s career also includes over ten years at Nike, where he held senior positions such as Category Brand Director for EMEA South and Football Brand Director for EMEA. Most recently, he was Senior Director of Business Development & Strategy at New Guards Group, managing the operations of Off-White and Reebok EU.

Martinazzoli holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from UCLA and a degree in Economics for Arts, Culture, and Communication from Università Bocconi.
