(PRESS RELEASE) ESSEN, 4-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Brenntag, the global leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, has announced the renewal of its long-term distribution partnership with Röhm, a pioneer in methacrylate chemistry for more than 90 years. The agreement extends Brenntag’s distribution rights for Röhm’s PLEXIGLAS® and PLEXIMID® molding compounds across 23 European countries, including Germany, France, the Benelux region, Austria, the CEE countries, the Baltics, and Turkey.

The two companies share a partnership spanning over three decades, built on trust, innovation, and mutual commitment to delivering high-quality polymer materials to key industries such as automotive, lighting, electronics, and consumer goods. Röhm’s PLEXIGLAS® (PMMA) molding compounds are known for their brilliance, transparency, and exceptional UV and weather resistance, making them a preferred choice for applications requiring durability and optical clarity. In addition, PLEXIMID® (PMMI) offers superior heat deflection combined with high light transmission, ideal for demanding uses in the electrical and electronics sectors.

In line with Brenntag’s commitment to sustainability, the renewed partnership will also emphasize the distribution of PLEXIGLAS® proTerra, which features a reduced carbon footprint and incorporates mechanically recycled PMMA and raw materials certified under ISCC PLUS. This aligns with both companies’ shared vision of advancing sustainable material solutions for the future.

“We greatly value our enduring collaboration with Röhm and are proud to continue offering their advanced Plexiglas and Pleximid materials to customers throughout Europe,” said Christian Frimann, President Global Polymers & Rubber, Brenntag Specialties. “This renewed agreement allows us to expand access to innovative, sustainable materials that enable progress across multiple industries.”

Michael Zietek, Director Europe, Molding Compounds business unit at Röhm, added: “We are very pleased to extend our cooperation with Brenntag across Europe. Our longstanding partnership has proven successful, reflected in strong customer satisfaction. We look forward to further unlocking new market potential together and driving growth in key application segments.”

This renewal underscores both companies’ dedication to innovation, sustainability, and service excellence, ensuring that customers across Europe continue to benefit from high-performance materials supported by industry expertise and reliable distribution.
