(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 7-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) is broadening its OPTIREG™ Power Management IC (PMIC) lineup with the introduction of the OPTIREG PMIC TLF35585, a highly reliable, multi-rail power supply solution tailored for demanding automotive systems. This expansion reinforces Infineon’s commitment to providing efficient voltage regulation and power management solutions, ideal for functional safety applications in critical automotive environments such as chassis, powertrain, domain control, and transmission.

The TLF35585 PMIC integrates pre- and post-regulator architectures, including DC/DC and linear regulators, as well as trackers, to offer a robust and efficient power supply for systems requiring high functional safety standards. The new device supports automotive ECUs for safety-related applications by providing monitoring and control functions that assist developers in meeting stringent safety requirements. Infineon’s OPTIREG PMIC family has already earned recognition for its efficiency and versatility, and the TLF35585 is poised to build upon this success.

Designed with functional safety in mind, the TLF35585 PMIC offers a boost buck pre-regulator that powers the microcontroller supply, communication supply, and provides a precise voltage reference. Two trackers are included to follow the voltage reference and power off-board sensors. The device’s comprehensive monitoring functions include a configurable window watchdog, a function watchdog, error pin monitoring, and voltage monitoring. It also features a 16-bit SPI interface, interrupt and reset functions for seamless interaction with microcontrollers. Compliant with ISO 26262 standards for systems up to ASIL D, the TLF35585 PMIC is engineered for the highest levels of safety in automotive systems.

The device offers flexibility with its wide switching frequency range, optimizing efficiency and allowing the use of smaller filter components. Its AEC-Q100 Grade 0 qualification ensures it meets the rigorous automotive industry standards for thermal performance and durability, with an extended junction temperature range up to 175°C. The TLF35585 is available in either a small VQFN-48 or a TQFP-48 package, both of which are thermally enhanced to support a variety of automotive applications.

“Infineon’s new OPTIREG PMIC TLF35585 offers exceptional power management capabilities for automotive developers, particularly those focused on functional safety,” said [Name], [Title] at Infineon Technologies. “By offering a flexible, highly efficient solution, we are supporting the automotive industry’s growing demand for reliable, scalable, and safe power management systems.”

The OPTIREG PMIC TLF35585 is now available, with more information and product details accessible at www.infineon.com/optireg-pmic.
