Groupe BPCE Signs 20-Year Agreement with H2air to Source Renewable Electricity from the Bleuets Wind Farm

(IN BRIEF) Groupe BPCE has signed a 20-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement with renewable energy producer H2air for electricity from the seven-turbine Bleuets wind farm in Hauts-de-France. Beginning January 1, 2026, the agreement will supply an estimated 49 GWh of renewable electricity annually to power the Group’s data centers, offices, and banking branches. With this second CPPA of the year, around 30% of Groupe BPCE’s operational electricity requirements will be directly sourced from renewable energy. The contract supports H2air’s continued growth and provides price stability for BPCE. Executives from both organizations emphasized the strength of their long-standing partnership and the importance of supporting local renewable production to advance regional energy transition goals. H2air, founded in 2008, develops and operates wind and solar projects and supplies clean electricity to large corporate clients.

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 2-Dec-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Groupe BPCE has entered into a new long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with H2air, a major French independent renewable energy producer. Covering the output of the Bleuets wind farm in the Hauts-de-France region, the agreement will run for 20 years, beginning on January 1, 2026. This marks the Group’s second CPPA this year, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating the energy transition in the regions where it has a strong presence.

Under the contract, Groupe BPCE will purchase the entire production of the seven-turbine Bleuets wind facility located in Saint-Aubin-Montenoy, an area known for its strong wind resources and high contribution to France’s renewable energy landscape. Annual output is estimated at 49 GWh, enough to help power the Group’s data centers, back-office operations, and banking branches. With this second major CPPA in place, approximately 30% of the Group’s operational electricity needs will now be covered through direct renewable energy sourcing.

The agreement strengthens H2air’s long-term financial footing and supports the continued development of the onshore wind specialist, which has been active since 2008. The contract also secures long-term energy price visibility for Groupe BPCE, which seeks to stabilize electricity procurement costs while supporting local renewable projects.

“This new direct electricity supply contract represents a significant milestone in our drive to expand renewable energy procurement as part of our Vision 2030 strategy,” said Laurent Benatar, Chief Technology & Operations Officer at Groupe BPCE. “By partnering with H2air, we are helping to ensure the economic sustainability of new local energy projects while contributing meaningfully to the energy transition in our regions.”

Camille Vandenbeuck, Executive Director at H2air, emphasized the long-standing relationship between the two organizations: “BPCE has been a trusted partner for years, helping finance our wind projects for nearly a decade. This long-term agreement for the Bleuets site is a natural extension of our collaboration. It also reflects our commitment to supporting major companies in implementing their climate strategies, strengthening their resilience to market volatility, and responding to growing regulatory expectations.”
