Gard Chief External Affairs Officer Svein Buvik elected Chair of the Nordic Association of Marine Insurers (Cefor)

Arendal, Norway, 11-Apr-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — Svein Buvik was elected Chair of the Nordic Association of Marine Insurers (Cefor) at the Cefor Annual General Meeting held in Oslo on Thursday, 5 April 2018.

Svein, Chief External Affairs Officer in Gard, has been Cefor acting Chair since January 2018, succeeding Anne Systad formerly of Codan Marine who stepped down from the Board at the end of last year.

CEFOR, originally an association of Norwegian marine underwriters, today includes 14 marine insurance companies and mutuals in the Nordic countries. The mission of Cefor is to serve the interests of its Nordic members by promoting quality marine insurance through comprehensive statistics, competence building, agreed all risks conditions (Nordic Marine Insurance Plan) and a common public voice.

Previous Cefor Chairs from Gard are Christen Guddal, Bjørnar Andresen and Sven Henrik Svensen.
