(PRESS RELEASE) HANAU/GLÜCKSTADT , 11-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Evonik and Steinbeis Papier have announced a new partnership aimed at reducing CO2 emissions in the production of recycled paper. Under this agreement, Evonik will supply its “Way to GO2”-certified, carbon-neutral hydrogen peroxide to Steinbeis Papier, a European leader in recycled graphical paper. Hydrogen peroxide, used as a bleaching agent in recycled paper production, is a key component in ensuring high-quality, bright paper while meeting stringent environmental standards. Evonik’s hydrogen peroxide is produced through emissions-reducing methods that contribute to the company’s long-term goal of achieving full carbon neutrality in its global operations by 2040.

Steinbeis Papier’s use of Evonik’s eco-friendly product reinforces its commitment to sustainable practices, as outlined in its “ReThinking Paper” strategy, and marks a significant step in reducing its overall environmental impact.
