(PRESS RELEASE) BIETIGHEIM-BISSINGEN, 2-Dec-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Dürr has strengthened its footprint in Italy with a major organizational consolidation that unifies two long-standing subsidiaries—CPM S.p.A. and Olpidürr S.p.A.—into a single entity now operating under the name Dürr Systems Italy S.p.A. The strategic merger brings together the company’s extensive expertise in final assembly systems and advanced painting technologies, creating a more efficient and cohesive structure designed to deliver greater value to automotive and industrial customers.

Effective December 1, 2025, the two subsidiaries officially combined and adopted the new name, forming a company that will operate from both Milan and Turin with a workforce of approximately 120 employees. The newly established business is led by CEO Andreas Hohmann, who emphasized that the transition not only reinforces Dürr’s presence in the Italian market but also aligns the new entity more closely with the group’s global strategy. According to Hohmann, customers will benefit from continuity, increased capabilities, and a stronger market identity.

The unified company will offer an expanded and integrated portfolio that covers consulting, planning, and execution of final assembly processes, along with Dürr’s full suite of painting, pretreatment, and electrocoating systems. The consolidation enhances customer access to high-performance technologies such as Dürr’s ProFleet automated guided vehicles (AGVs), which support flexible and cost-efficient production at automotive manufacturers worldwide. By bringing all competencies under a single brand, Dürr Systems Italy aims to simplify coordination, streamline administrative processes, and enhance service delivery.

Current contracts and service agreements will remain unchanged, ensuring uninterrupted support for existing clients. The organization will continue to provide long-term assistance in the form of preventive maintenance, technical support, and modernisation services tailored to evolving production requirements. As Hohmann noted, the merger enables Dürr to offer a unique blend of specialized expertise and complete manufacturing solutions throughout the entire production lifecycle.

In addition to the newly formed Dürr Systems Italy, the Dürr Group will maintain its separate Italian subsidiary Verind S.p.A. Based in Milan, Verind focuses on robotic and application technologies and operates as an independent brand within the group. The company serves automotive and general industry customers with specialized systems for coating application, ultrafiltration, and wastewater treatment, and it functions as Dürr’s Center of Excellence for electronic dosing machines. Verind’s capabilities include engineering, laboratory services, and technologies for applying coatings to a wide range of materials including metal, plastics, aluminum wheels, wood, ceramics, composites, marble, and glass.
