Banif – Banco Internacional do Funchal, S.A. registered €70,795,220 share capital increase through the issue of 7,079,522,043 new shares

Lisbon, Portugal, 30-10-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — Banif – Banco Internacional do Funchal, S.A. informs that, on the present date, it has registered a share capital increase in the amount of €70,795,220, through the issue of 7,079,522,043 new shares. Following this capital increase, the share capital of Banif increased from €1,511,400,000.00 to €1,582,195,220.43, and is represented by 101,789,522,043 shares, with the corresponding change in articles 5 and 6 of the company’s articles of association.

This operation is the result of the Liability Management Exercise (LME), approved in the Shareholder’s General Meeting held in the 16th of September 2013 and whose Offering Memorandum was published in CMVM’s information system on the 27th of September 2013. The final results of the LME were announced through the same system on the 14th of October 2013.
