Atos Resolves Legal Dispute with Unisys Over Confidentiality Allegations

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 4-Dec-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Atos, a global leader in digital transformation and high-performance computing, has reached a settlement agreement with Unisys to resolve a legal dispute filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The lawsuit, initiated by Unisys, alleged the misappropriation of confidential information and trade secrets by two former Unisys employees who joined Atos, later extending the claims to include two additional individuals.

The terms of the settlement remain confidential. Atos has stated that the financial implications of the agreement will have minimal impact on its net debt and leverage projections for the fourth quarter of 2024 and the year 2025.

The dispute originated when Unisys accused two former employees of sharing proprietary documents after joining Atos. On April 12, 2023, the court granted a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) restricting the disclosure of Unisys’s confidential information and the solicitation of its employees. The settlement concludes the litigation between the parties.
