The group also maintained an “A-” rating for Water Security, underscoring its strong performance in environmental transparency and resource management. Supported by science-based targets aligned with a 1.5°C pathway, Arkema continues to advance ambitious emissions reduction and water conservation goals as part of its long-term sustainability strategy.

(PRESS RELEASE) LA DÉFENSE, 10-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Arkema has once again been recognized for its strong climate performance, retaining its top “A” rating in the CDP Climate Change category and remaining on the organization’s prestigious Climate A List. This distinction places Arkema among the top four percent of companies assessed globally by CDP, reaffirming the group’s leadership in environmental transparency and climate action.

In addition to its climate results, Arkema also maintained its “A-” rating in the CDP Water Security category. Together, these scores highlight the group’s continued commitment to addressing climate change while responsibly managing water resources across its global operations.

Arkema continues to advance its climate roadmap in line with a 1.5°C trajectory validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. The group has set a target to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 48.5% by 2030 compared with 2019 levels. For Scope 3 emissions, Arkema has already exceeded its initial objective ahead of schedule and has therefore introduced a more ambitious new target: a 67% reduction by 2030 versus 2019.

Water stewardship also remains a core pillar of Arkema’s sustainability strategy. The group has committed to reducing its water withdrawals by 27% by 2030 compared with 2019, reflecting a broader focus on preserving critical natural resources alongside climate mitigation efforts.

Emmanuelle Bromet, Sustainable Development Vice President at Arkema, said the continued recognition by CDP reflects the collective commitment of the group’s teams to embedding sustainability at the heart of daily operations. She noted that maintaining these high CDP ratings demonstrates the strength of Arkema’s environmental strategy, the effectiveness of actions implemented across the organization, and the group’s ability to achieve performance levels among the highest in the industry.
