Amazon and Barclays Unveil Co-Branded Credit Card Offering Rewards for Everyday Spending

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 13-Aug-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Amazon and Barclays have launched a new co-branded credit card in the UK, enabling customers to earn rewards on their everyday spending. The Amazon Barclaycard allows users to receive up to 2% back in Amazon Barclaycard Rewards, which can be redeemed for gift cards on Amazon.co.uk.

With no annual fee, the card incentivizes new applicants by offering a £20 Amazon gift card upon approval. Customers earn 1% back on all Amazon purchases and 0.5% on everyday spending outside of Amazon for the first year, dropping to 0.25% thereafter. Additionally, Amazon Prime members can enjoy 2% back on all Amazon purchases during key shopping events such as Cyber Monday and Prime Day.

The card provides a 0% APR on purchases for the first six months, after which a Representative APR of 28.9% applies, depending on the customer’s financial situation. Cardholders can easily track their rewards and redeem them through the Barclaycard app.

The Amazon Barclaycard also includes access to exclusive Barclaycard entertainment perks, such as advance pre-sales for selected UK events and discounts on food and drink at certain venues.
