(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 19-Seo-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Acuity Knowledge Partners (Acuity), a global provider of research, analytics, data management, and AI-driven solutions for the financial services industry, has announced the acquisition of Ascent, a European leader in AI-powered digital transformation services. The transaction, which is expected to close on 30 September 2025, represents a major step in the expansion of Acuity’s Data and Technology Services (DTS) division.

Ascent serves more than 170 global clients through a team of 550 specialists in data, software, and cloud technologies, with operations across seven European jurisdictions. Its expertise will significantly enhance Acuity’s ability to deliver advanced technology and AI solutions, while also extending the company’s reach into new industries such as reinsurance, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and retail.

“This acquisition is a transformative moment for Acuity,” said Robert King, Chief Executive Officer at Acuity. “We have built a strong foundation in data management and technology-led services, but with Ascent joining us, we are taking this to a new level. Together, we can accelerate digital transformation and AI adoption for our clients, expand into new markets, and build on our existing expertise. We are delighted to welcome the Ascent team into the Acuity family.”

Jon O’Donnell, Chief Operating Officer at Acuity, added: “Ascent is a natural fit for us, especially as we build momentum with our AI solutions following the launch of our Agentic AI platform, Agent Fleet. This acquisition expands our ability to provide world-class advisory and technology services to clients, and I am looking forward to working closely with Stewart and his team to grow our DTS business.”

Ascent CEO Stewart Smythe also welcomed the move: “Bringing Ascent’s data and AI capabilities together with Acuity’s deep domain expertise and innovation is a tremendous opportunity. Acuity’s ambition to build a global technology services division aligns perfectly with our vision, and we are excited to join forces to support clients across a wider range of industries and geographies.”

The acquisition builds on Acuity’s strategy to develop a technology services arm that complements its strengths in research, analytics, and data management. It also strengthens Acuity’s global delivery network and will further expand its strategic partnership with Microsoft.

Acuity was advised on the transaction by DC Advisory, while Ascent was advised by Canaccord Genuity.
