Gathered in Paris for three days, the competitors from Canada, China, India, Mexico, Russia, Turkey, France and South East Asia, presented case studies illustrating their ideas for viable energy management solutions for one of the five basic urban sectors (residential, university, business, water and hospitals). In France, students of HEC Paris and ESCP business school took part in this grand final. This year, encouraged by the success of the previous two years, Schneider Electric opened up the competition to ten new countries, bringing the total number taking part in 2013 to nineteen. These new countries are Mexico, Canada, and eight countries in South East Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Korea and Taiwan).
