GEMMA V9 by Eviden Introduces Advanced Modules for EMS and Fire Operations in Public Safety Modernization

(IN BRIEF) Eviden has launched GEMMA V9, a major upgrade to its emergency management platform that introduces advanced public safety communication features aligned with NG112 standards. The new release includes modules tailored for Emergency Medical Services and Fire & Rescue operations, offering capabilities such as real-time medical triage, resource allocation, geolocation, and risk assessment. Designed to enhance coordination and digital interoperability between emergency call centers, field personnel, and partner agencies, GEMMA V9 supports next-generation multimedia communications and seamless integration with existing and emerging technologies. Eviden’s announcement highlights its mission to drive the future of public safety through unified, intelligent systems that can adapt to modernization needs and support critical operations with enhanced situational awareness and collaboration.

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 17-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Eviden, the advanced computing and cybersecurity arm of the Atos Group, today unveiled GEMMA V9, the latest version of its flagship emergency management platform, marking a major advancement in next-generation public safety solutions. Announced in Paris and set to be showcased at Milipol 2025 (Hall 5 – T182), the GEMMA V9 release introduces new functionality aligned with European Next Generation 112 (NG112) standards and features dedicated modules for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Fire & Rescue operations.

GEMMA, which has been supporting emergency response organizations for over 25 years, is designed to assist Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and Emergency Response Organizations (EROs) in orchestrating timely and effective responses to critical incidents. With this newest version, Eviden reinforces GEMMA’s role as a comprehensive, interoperable platform that streamlines communication between command centers and field personnel — from the first point of contact to on-the-ground intervention and incident resolution.

Among the most notable enhancements in GEMMA V9 is the NG112-ready PSAP module, which now supports fully compliant multimedia communications including voice, video, real-time text, and data exchange between emergency call centers and field responders. This upgrade ensures seamless, cross-agency interoperability across Europe and facilitates smoother coordination in multi-jurisdictional crises.

Complementing this core functionality are two major new modules:

GEMMA Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Module: Built for paramedics and medical dispatchers, this tool enables real-time patient triage, clinical data sharing, and operational resource allocation from initial emergency call to hospital delivery.

GEMMA Fire & Rescue Module: Designed to enhance rescue and firefighting responses, this system offers dynamic risk analysis, real-time geospatial tracking, and improved incident command, providing fire response teams with critical situational intelligence during emergencies.

“GEMMA V9 represents a bold leap forward in public safety digital transformation,” said Bernard Payer, Senior Vice President and Head of Mission-Critical Systems at Eviden. “By integrating NG112-native features and specialized modules for medical and fire response, we are giving emergency services the tools to operate with greater intelligence and cooperation, ultimately saving more lives.”

The platform’s modular, scalable architecture allows agencies to integrate seamlessly with both legacy and next-generation infrastructure — including IoT, 4G/5G, and AI systems — making it a versatile choice for public safety organizations of any size and maturity. Its aim is to unite emergency communications centers, first responders, and partners within a single interoperable digital ecosystem that supports rapid decision-making and operational efficiency.
