ADMARES uses Siemens Xcelerator platform to deliver affordable, connected homes in just 45 minutes

(IN BRIEF) Siemens announced that ADMARES is using its Xcelerator open business platform and advanced Digital Twin technology to industrialize affordable smart homes and help address the global housing crisis. Founded in 2016, ADMARES is building a highly automated smart factory capable of producing a 1,400 ft² home in just 45 minutes, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 75% and cutting material waste by 80%. With Siemens’ software and automation tools, ADMARES is productizing homes to overcome labor shortages, accelerate delivery, and create fully connected living spaces. Siemens executives emphasized that the project exemplifies how digitalization and automation can enable new business models and sustainability in traditionally conservative industries.

(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 23-Seo-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Siemens announced today that ADMARES, a pioneer in industrialized housing solutions, is harnessing the Siemens Xcelerator open business platform to design, build, and operate sustainable, connected, and affordable homes at scale. By applying Siemens’ most advanced Digital Twin technology along with automation and manufacturing innovations, ADMARES is redefining how housing is produced to address the worldwide need for affordable homes.

Founded in 2016, ADMARES is transforming traditional construction by applying advanced manufacturing techniques to deliver smart, modularized homes. Its digital-first approach aims to cut CO₂ emissions from residential construction by up to 75% and reduce material waste by 80%. Through its highly automated, greenfield smart factory, ADMARES is accelerating production speeds that could revolutionize how the global housing shortage is addressed.

“Siemens’ technology has enabled us to make affordable homes a product, rather than a process reliant on construction labor – of which there is a global shortage,” said Mikael Hedberg, CEO of ADMARES. “When homes become productized, industrialized and digitalized, we’re able to fully automate the manufacturing process and deliver homes the world so desperately needs at the affordable cost, scale and speed it requires.”

Eryn Devola, Head of Sustainability at Siemens Digital Industries, added: “The work that ADMARES is doing is a compelling example of how Siemens technology enables entirely new business models to emerge. Building on the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, ADMARES has transformed housing from a traditional construction process into a scalable, digitalized product. Our digital twin, automation and manufacturing technologies have empowered them to industrialize homebuilding – cutting emissions, reducing waste, and accelerating delivery. This is the kind of industry reinvention Siemens Xcelerator was designed to make possible.”

At the heart of the project lies the Siemens Xcelerator suite, including Teamcenter, Designcenter, and Simcenter, which ADMARES uses to design, validate, and refine its modular housing concepts. By creating a comprehensive Digital Twin that integrates both product and manufacturing data, ADMARES can optimize its smart factory operations. Powered by Siemens’ Opcenter manufacturing execution software and automation hardware, the facility will achieve a takt time of 22.5 minutes per unit — enabling the production of a complete 1,400 ft² smart home in just 45 minutes. Each home will be delivered with building software that provides real-time monitoring of energy, water, and air quality, ensuring they function as fully connected smart homes.

ADMARES’ initiative, powered by Siemens’ technology, represents a significant step toward industrialized housing as a scalable, sustainable solution to the affordable housing crisis.
