LEGO Group Strengthens Global Supply Network with Strategic Expansion and Enhanced Regional Operations

(IN BRIEF) The LEGO Group has structured its supply chain into regional networks, positioning factories and distribution centres across three continents. This system enhances responsiveness to market changes while reducing transportation emissions. Currently, the company operates six factories in Denmark, Hungary, Czechia, Mexico, China, and Vietnam—the latter having launched in April 2025—with plans for a seventh factory in the U.S. due by 2027, supported in the interim by a temporary facility in Virginia. The group also runs five regional distribution centres, with recent openings in Belgium (June 2024) and Vietnam (March 2025), aiming for two centres in each major region—Europe, Middle East & Africa; Americas; and Asia & Pacific. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to upgrade global manufacturing and distribution capabilities, build supply chain resilience, and accelerate the delivery of LEGO® products, all while upholding the group’s commitment to safety, quality, innovation, and sustainability.

(PRESS RELEASE) BILLUND, 9-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — At the LEGO Group, our supply chain is structured around regions, with our factories and distribution centres strategically spread across three continents. This system places us in close proximity to our major markets, ensuring rapid response to changing demand while minimizing the environmental impact of product transportation.

Presently, the LEGO Group operates six factories around the globe. These are located in Denmark, Hungary, Czechia, Mexico, China, and our newest site in Vietnam, which began operations in April 2025. Our expansion plans include opening a seventh factory in the United States, which is scheduled for completion by 2027; meanwhile, we are temporarily utilizing a packing facility in Virginia to meet current needs.

In addition to our manufacturing sites, we manage five regional distribution centres (RDCs). Our latest centres have become operational in Belgium as of June 2024, and in Vietnam as of March 2025. We are progressing towards establishing two RDCs in each major region—Europe, Middle East & Africa, Americas, and Asia & Pacific—to further enhance our global network.

Our ongoing efforts to expand and refine our manufacturing and distribution infrastructure are vital for addressing future market demands and nurturing sustained growth. These strategic investments are designed not only to reinforce our regional and global operations with increased flexibility and resilience, but also to ensure that LEGO® products are delivered to consumers more swiftly and efficiently.

Throughout this growth, our unwavering dedication to safety, quality, innovation, and sustainability continues to guide our every decision and initiative.
