(PRESS RELEASE) BILLUND, 26-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Fifteen Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) from nine countries have realized a dream by being selected to display their extraordinary creations at the renowned LEGO House in Billund, Denmark. Their works will be on display starting September 27, 2024, offering inspiration and innovation to visitors from around the globe.

Since its opening in 2017, LEGO House has served as the ultimate destination for LEGO enthusiasts of all ages. This year’s Masterpiece Gallery will feature exceptional designs from a diverse group of AFOLs, each bringing their unique cultural backgrounds and imaginations into their creations. This year’s lineup includes fans from countries such as Australia, the UK, the USA, and China, making it one of the most international exhibitions to date.

The LEGO House Masterpiece Gallery is dedicated to showcasing the creative brilliance of these talented builders. The exhibit offers a unique opportunity for these artists to share their love of LEGO and their personal designs with a worldwide audience. Among the featured creators is Victoria Worsley from the UK, whose fascination with LEGO began in childhood. Her 1950s-style diner and LEGO house, both featuring LEGO Belville figures, are expected to inspire many female fans.

“The LEGO fan community continues to amaze us with their boundless creativity,” says Stuart Harris, Master Builder at LEGO House. “Each year, we are inspired by the exceptional works and the stories behind them.”

One standout this year is Donny Chen from Australia, who has been building with LEGO for 13 years. Drawing on his Chinese heritage, Donny’s builds include a stunning 7,000-piece golden dragon to commemorate the Lunar New Year.

The Masterpiece Gallery also features creations by younger talent, such as 19-year-old Roldan Grace from the USA, who has been playing with LEGO since the age of four. His intricate 11,000-piece Knight on Horseback model is a highlight of the gallery.

The featured builds are not only imaginative but also technically challenging, with many builders traveling to Billund to personally install their creations. Each exhibitor worked closely with LEGO House’s team to ensure their models are displayed just as intended.

“We are excited to offer these AFOLs a platform to showcase their passion and talent,” says Kathrine Kirk Muff, Managing Director of LEGO House. “We hope their work inspires our visitors to explore their own creativity with LEGO bricks.”

On September 26, 2024, LEGO House will also host an exclusive AFOL event featuring 600 participants who will be among the first to experience the new gallery.
