ZF’s Strategic Expansion of EPS Production Capacity in China Progresses with New Agreement
(IN BRIEF) ZF Automotive Technologies (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of ZF Group, has signed an agreement with the Shanghai Anting Economic Development Center for the second phase of expanding its electronic power steering (EPS) production in China. Following a previous expansion completed in 2023, this new phase aims to further enhance production capacity and scope, with volume manufacturing expected by late 2025. The move highlights ZF’s confidence in the Chinese market and commitment to localization, aligning with the growing demand for advanced steering technologies.
(PRESS RELEASE) FRIEDRICHSHAFEN , 2-Dec-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — ZF Automotive Technologies (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a key subsidiary of the ZF Group, has reinforced its commitment to the Chinese market by signing an investment agreement for the second phase of its electronic power steering (EPS) production expansion. This collaboration with the Shanghai Anting Economic Development Center aims to further enhance the scope and capacity of EPS system manufacturing in China.
Building on its initial expansion launched in July 2022 and completed in May 2023, this latest phase underscores ZF’s unwavering confidence in the growth and potential of the Chinese automotive sector. The enhanced production facilities are scheduled to commence volume manufacturing by the end of 2025, reflecting ZF’s strategy to align with the increasing demand for advanced steering technologies in China.
