Bechtle Strengthens Cloud Capabilities with Acquisition of Kubernetes Specialist KubeOps

(IN BRIEF) Bechtle AG has acquired ARWINET GmbH and its spin-off, KubeOps GmbH, to expand its expertise in Kubernetes and cloud services. KubeOps, a Kubernetes Certified Service Provider, strengthens Bechtle’s ability to offer advanced container management solutions, especially for critical infrastructure. The acquisition is expected to drive growth in Bechtle’s cloud market share and enhance synergies in the public sector. (PRESS RELEASE) NECKARSULM, 15-Oct-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Bechtle AG has strengthened its position in the cloud services market by acquiring ARWINET GmbH and its spin-off, KubeOps GmbH, two companies specializing in Kubernetes and cloud computing. Located in Bisingen, Germany, ARWINET and KubeOps employ 93 staff and generated €7.4 million in revenue last year, primarily serving public sector clients. The existing management team, Susanne Schmidt and Andreas Stroppel, will remain at the helm following the acquisition.

KubeOps, a Kubernetes Certified Service Provider, recognized by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, brings deep expertise in container management solutions to Bechtle’s portfolio. This acquisition enhances Bechtle’s ability to support customers, particularly in critical infrastructure, by offering advanced Kubernetes solutions to manage, scale, and secure complex digital systems. Additionally, the deal opens new growth opportunities in cloud services and creates synergies in the B2G sector.
