(PRESS RELEASE) MODENA, 2-Oct-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — New Holland has unveiled its next-generation T5 Dual Command tractor range, showcasing a fresh exterior and a host of innovative features aimed at boosting productivity and enhancing operator comfort. This updated lineup, which includes five models ranging from 80 to 117 horsepower, is powered by FPT’s F36 3.6-litre four-cylinder engines.

The T5 Dual Command tractors are being showcased to the public at the Sommet de l’Élevage fair in France, running from October 1 to 4, 2024.

Enhanced Capabilities for Increased Efficiency

The revamped T5 Dual Command tractors come with a wider selection of rear tire options and a choice between standard and heavy-duty front axles. The standard axle is ideal for lighter tasks, while the new heavy-duty (HD) axle is designed for those demanding intensive loader work. Notably, New Holland’s unique SuperSteer™ front axle offers an impressive 76° steering angle, significantly improving maneuverability in tight spaces, such as headlands, small fields, and farmyards. The tractors feature a 2.35m wheelbase, striking a balance between agility and stability.

With the standard front axle, steering capacity under load is enhanced by 20%, allowing for quicker turns. The robust HD axle increases the permissible gross vehicle weight to 7,000kg. Additionally, when equipped with 38-inch rear tires, the T5 tractors achieve a high ground clearance of 480mm while maintaining an overall height of less than 2.67m, reducing the risk of crop damage and improving accessibility to buildings.

The updated models also see a 7% boost in rear lift capacity to 4,700kg, complemented by a new hydraulic pump delivering 82 l/min, which provides 30% more hydraulic flow for efficient implement engagement and rapid loader cycle times.

Advanced Technology and Enhanced Comfort

Equipped with the established Dual Command 24F/24R transmission, the new T5 Dual Command tractors feature four speeds, three ranges, and a two-speed powershift, alongside an electronic shuttle for smooth operation. Enhancements include an automatic differential lock and automatic four-wheel-drive engagement to simplify headland turns, as well as a new maintenance-free wet disc front PTO that operates quietly and efficiently.

Visually, the new T5 tractors present a modernized look with updated front and side grilles and fresh decals that align with other recently refreshed New Holland machinery. A newly designed U-shaped exhaust maximizes forward visibility, while upgraded work lights and optional LED headlights improve safety and visibility during fieldwork and road travel.

Operator comfort is further enhanced by mechanical Comfort Ride cab suspension, ensuring a smoother experience in various conditions. The tractors are also equipped with a redesigned digital instrument cluster that improves information readability.

As precision farming technology becomes increasingly sought after among utility tractor owners, the T5 Dual Command models can be fitted with advanced telematics and a comprehensive suite of precision farming solutions. These include autoguidance systems, the IntelliView 12 touchscreen terminal, and ISOBUS Class 2 implement connections. The New Holland FieldOps platform enables real-time monitoring of machine data, including precise location and operational status, with remote access to in-cab displays and agronomic data visualization.

The first units of the updated T5 Dual Command tractors are expected to arrive at New Holland dealerships in late 2024.
