Vattenfall Names Johan Dasht as New Senior Vice President for Business Area Generation

Dasht, currently leading the company’s hydro operations in the Nordics, will oversee Vattenfall’s hydro and nuclear power divisions. He succeeds Torbjörn Wahlborg, who is stepping down after a long career. With 20 years of experience in the energy sector, including 15 years in nuclear energy, Dasht previously served as CEO of SKB and OKG AB. Vattenfall’s CEO, Anna Borg, praised Dasht for his industry knowledge and leadership skills. (PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 25-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Johan Dasht has been selected to serve as the new Senior Vice President of Vattenfall’s Business Area Generation, overseeing the company’s operations in hydro and nuclear power. Dasht, who currently leads Vattenfall’s hydro operations in the Nordics, will take over from Torbjörn Wahlborg, who is stepping down after a long and distinguished career with the company. Dasht will officially assume his new role on November 1.

With 20 years of experience in the energy industry, including 15 years focused on nuclear power, Dasht brings extensive expertise to his new position. He joined Vattenfall in 2020 as CEO of SKB, the Swedish nuclear fuel and waste management company, and previously held the role of CEO at OKG AB, a Swedish nuclear energy firm.
