(PRESS RELEASE) VIENNA, 19-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — In response to the devastating floods that have impacted Austria, UniCredit Bank Austria has swiftly assembled an emergency aid package to provide immediate financial relief to affected individuals and businesses. The package offers fast and simple financing options, with overdraft facilities of up to €50,000 at a fixed interest rate of 2% per annum, repayable over a 24-month period. This assistance is available to both private customers and businesses seeking to recover from the disaster.

Ivan Vlaho, CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria, emphasized the importance of solidarity during these challenging times: “The flood disaster has caused widespread destruction and hardship. It is essential for us to come together and provide support. That is why we have put together this emergency aid package to ensure quick and easy assistance for our affected customers and businesses.”

The financial aid package includes a 12-month deferral option for existing housing loans, allowing customers to pause capital repayments without the need for a new credit check. Businesses can also benefit from flexible deferral options based on their liquidity needs.

To further aid recovery, UniCredit Bank Austria is offering housing and business financing tailored to larger loan amounts with individual terms, ensuring those most affected can access the funds needed for rebuilding.

In addition to its financial assistance, UniCredit Bank Austria is supporting the “Österreich hilft Österreich” donation campaign, a joint initiative of Austria’s major aid organizations in collaboration with ORF. The bank is actively promoting the campaign through its branches, website, and social media channels. Furthermore, all donations to charitable organizations made through UniCredit Bank Austria will be processed free of charge.

UniCredit Bank Austria is also doubling any donations made by its employees by October 15, 2024, and granting time off to staff members participating in disaster relief efforts through recognized aid organizations.
