50Hertz welcomes Sylvia Borcherding to its management board

(PRESS RELEASE) BERLIN, 2-Jan-2020 — /EuropaWire/ — Transmission system operator 50Hertz increases its management board members to five with the appointment of Sylvia Borcherding on 1 January 2020. The 50Hertz supervisory board has decided on the appointment on 19 September 2019.

50Hertz as a transmission system operator needs to adopt in terms of staff expansion and integration to the increasing Europeanisation of the markets, the quickly progressing digitisation and the successful implementation of the energy transition in particular.

Sylvia Borcherding has held leading positions in the Metro group, at healthcare provider IAS and at outsourcing specialist Capita. She was also active as a freelance organisational consultant. Sylvia has been the 50Hertz Chief HR Officer for already a year.
