In addition to customer programs, Zurich’s 160 fire safety specialists will undergo specialized two-week training courses to strengthen their expertise. The new TechXchange Fire Suppression Center is designed to offer an immersive, hands-on learning experience in fire safety, welcoming its first group of participants earlier this month.

Fire remains the second most common cause of property damage worldwide, trailing only floods, and accounts for billions in insured losses each year. Recognizing the importance of preparedness, Zurich has built a facility that enables participants to experience the science and practical application of fire suppression and protection technologies firsthand.

The TechXchange Fire Suppression Center offers customized, interactive training programs for clients across diverse industries, focusing on effective inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems. Participants are trained in real-world environments that include:

• Full sprinkler system demonstrations from water tank to discharge
• Industrial hazard simulations in a dedicated “special hazards” room
• Commercial kitchen fire suppression systems in action
• Water mist and gas extinguishing technology demonstrations

Beyond training its customers, Zurich Resilience Solutions also uses the center to advance the skills of its own specialists. Over 160 Zurich fire safety experts will take part in intensive, two-week technical training sessions led by Zurich’s in-house instructors, ensuring continuous professional development and technical excellence across its global network.
