Warwick Arts Centre Welcomes New Volunteer Cohort After Strong Public Response

(IN BRIEF) Warwick Arts Centre has welcomed a new group of volunteers this season after receiving over one hundred applications, reflecting the strong appeal of its volunteering programme. Volunteers help run performances, films and exhibitions, contributing to audience experience by stewarding, greeting visitors and supporting events across the venue. Existing volunteers describe the experience as rewarding and creatively enriching, while the centre emphasises that volunteers are central to its operations. Although all current positions are filled, prospective volunteers are encouraged to watch for future opportunities to join the team.

(PRESS RELEASE) COVENTRY, 5-Dec-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Warwick Arts Centre has begun its new season with an enthusiastic influx of volunteers, following an impressive response that saw more than a hundred people apply to join the programme. The venue now benefits from a refreshed volunteer cohort that continues to play a key role in the smooth delivery of performances, exhibitions and events across the centre.

Volunteers contribute to the visitor experience in many ways – greeting audiences, checking tickets, supporting families during festive shows, and helping guide guests throughout theatre, cinema and gallery spaces. Their presence ensures events run seamlessly and helps create the welcoming environment Warwick Arts Centre is known for.

Therese, who has volunteered as a steward since 2022, reflected on the value of being part of the team: “I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and love the performing arts, so volunteering as a steward was a no-brainer. It has opened the door to performances I might never have experienced otherwise.” She described the experience as joyful, enriching, and a gateway to deeper engagement with the arts.

Volunteer Coordinator Arrin Lewis added that volunteers sit at the heart of the Arts Centre’s operation, bringing warmth, enthusiasm and care to every event. “Volunteering here gives people the chance to make new friends, try something new, and become a valuable part of bringing our programme to life. Our team thrives on difference, and it has been fantastic to see more people getting involved in the past few months.”

Warwick Arts Centre encourages those interested to keep an eye on upcoming volunteer openings, as current roles are fully subscribed due to high demand. The programme continues to attract a wide mix of students, local residents and arts enthusiasts eager to engage with the creative community and support live events.

In 2022, following a redevelopment program the Arts Centre opened a new three screen cinema enabling the screening of a wider range of films from blockbuster to UK Independent films, opera, theatre and exhibitions.
